The
State of Connecticut Social Indicators reports are based on data collected by the Pacific
Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) for the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
as part of the recent statewide prevention needs assessment funded by the Center for
Substance Abuse Prevention. Since the statewide substance abuse prevention
needs assessment, DMHAS has added data from additional years.
Each town report consists of two pages of
statistics. The reports have sections on demographics, community, family, school and
individual domain indicators. These reports should be used in conjunction with the
State of Connecticut Social Indicators Report.
All the reports are available in Adobe Acrobat PDF format at this
web site. PDF format allows us to preserve the formatting and design of the reports and
ensure cross platform compatibility. Questions about the social indicators reports should
be directed to Pat Adams (860.418.6841) in the Office of Program
Analysis and
Support at the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
